Registered Land Surveyor (RLS), Richard D. Darling, has over 34 years of diversified surveying experience. Mr. Darling performs 3D laser scanning, ALTAs, property title searches, written legal descriptions, boundary surveys for subdivisions, patented mineral claims, section subdivisions (GLO Retracements), and Cadastral Surveys for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and U.S. Forest Service. He has extensive experience in the following: 3D Laser Scanning, Aerial Control Surveys, Mineral Claim Staking, Utility Easement Preparation and Acquisition, Flood Plain Studies, Topographic Mapping, and Construction Surveys. Mr. Darling has also performed duties as Chief Surveyor for mining and mineral exploration companies. In addition, Mr. Darling is the President of Darling Environmental and Surveying, Ltd. He has considerable business experience as evidenced by his starting and expanding the profitable business to its current size.

Mary E. Darling, M.S., J.D. holds a master’s degree in wildlife and fisheries biology and a law degree from McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific. Ms. Darling currently serves on the Board of Directors of both the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) and National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO). She recently served as a member of the Sonoran Desert Habitat Conservation Steering Committee for Pima County and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Cactus Ferruginous Pygmy-Owl Recovery Team. Ms. Darling has performed numerous Section 7 Endangered Species Act consultations to assist private landowners with the permitting processes involved when a threatened or endangered species or critical habitat is present in areas proposed for development. She has authored and successfully completed a project specific Habitat Conservation Plan for the Mojave Desert Tortoise in Nye County Nevada, which resulted in the County obtaining an incidental take permit from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. She is currently authoring a County-wide Habitat Conservation Plan and Environmental Assessment for the Desert Tortoise in Nye County, Nevada.
Ms. Darling's experience includes 12 years with the U.S. Forest Service, during which she served two years as Appeals and Litigation Coordinator. Recently, Ms. Darling has been involved with litigation as a consultant to Nye County, NV; Clark County, NV; Amphitheater School District, and various other organizations dealing with the Endangered Species Act and Land Stewardship issues. Species that Ms. Darling has worked with include: Mojave Desert Tortoise, Chiricahua leopard frog, Gila Chub, Sonoran Chub, Desert Sucker, Razorback Sucker, Flannelmouth Sucker. Little Colorado Spinedace, Loach Minnow, Spikedace, Moapa Dace, Desert Pupfish, Desert Springfish, Lahontan Cutthroat Trout, Bull Trout, Redband Trout, Cactus Ferruginous Pygmy-Owl, Pima Pineapple Cactus, Desert Tortoise, Amargosa Toad, Sonoran Tiger Salamander, California and Mexican Spotted Owl, Ocelot, Jaguar, Bald Eagle, and Peregrine Falcon.
She also participates as a member of 3D laser scanning and survey crews. She has participated in a broad range of 3D laser scanning and land surveying projects throughout the United States and Mexico.
